The Reservoir is Brisbane’s most unique performance space and live venue!
Buried six meters underground in Albert Park, on Wickham Terrace (directly behind The Historic Tower Mill), The Reservoir had lain dormant since its decommissioning as Brisbane’s main water supply in 1960.
In 2014 this 150yo, heritage listed, reservoir was open to the public for the first time in it’s history in a ground-breaking project by The Underground Opera Company.
Opera in the Reservoir and Carols in the Reservoir, produced by Underground Opera have paved the way for Brisbane City Council to extend the temporary usage and open The Spring Hill Reservoirs for a multitude of events.
